OPTIONS IN DOWNTOWN

SAARA

Probably if you know someone who has visited Rio, you have been referred to SAARA. Guys, the Saara is a merchant society of central Rio de Janeiro. It is a kind of organized market where you can find what you imagine.

There are many options for clothing, sporting goods, party supplies, accessories, shoes, swimwear, souvenirs and many other utilities, in wholesale and retail options. The stores vary in price, but in general, they are much cheaper than the prices practiced in shopping centers in the South Zone neighborhood.

Don’t be afraid to explore the streets of SAARA, it really worth to find better options. Two specific streets are very interesting for tourists: Rua Senhor dos Passos e Rua da Alfândega.

On the first Saturday of the month happens in Lapa, the fair of Rua do Lavradio. This fair is a party. The street is closed for cars. You will find handicrafts, antiques, second-hand stores (clothing and accessories) and many other articles.

Besides all the things, it’s also possible to enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area. In some places also have live music. Just enjoy!

ANTIQUES FAIR AT PRAÇA XV
