And I guarantee, most visitors are charmed by the diversity of the party that happens at night in this place. The neighborhood is famous for the Carioca Aqueduct, the main reference and postcard, built to function as an aqueduct in the colonial times of Brazil, and from 1896 to the present day, serves as a trail for the tram that connects the city center with neighborhood of Santa Teresa. The neighborhood was also emancipated for cultural reasons, since all peoples of all ages gather here to celebrate the nights in the wonderful city, with plenty of the typically Brazilian caipirinha that can be easily found in all bars in Lapa.
